LITTLE PEARL

Las Perlitas Chiroso (“Little Pearls”) is a standout washed coffee sourced from smallholder farmers in Urrao, Antioquia, grown at elevations between 1,900 and 2,300 meters. During harvest, many producers create small, high-quality lots that are too limited in volume to export individually. Through Las Perlitas, these coffees are carefully selected, rigorously cupped multiple times, and combined into a single export-ready lot—without compromising on quality.

Each lot must meet strict sensory and physical standards, ensuring consistency, clarity, and excellence in every batch. The project not only highlights exceptional Chiroso coffees, but also helps small farmers receive fair compensation for their work.

Despite Colombia’s humid climate, which makes natural processing difficult, this coffee achieves a vibrant, fruit-forward character through extended and carefully controlled fermentation (typically 24–48 hours, sometimes up to 72), followed by slow drying over 7–14 days.

The result is a clean, expressive cup with layered fruit notes, refined sweetness, and a bright, elegant profile.
